I’m having trouble registering or with connecting to the live stream. Is there someone I can contact for help?

What are the system requirements to view the live video stream?

The video broadcast is available on the most common Internet browsers, operating systems, and on most mobile devices. 

Minimum Technical Requirements
Adobe Flash Player 10.0.32 or above
Internet Explorer 8.0 or above, Firefox 3.0 or above, or Safari 4.0, or Chrome 4.0 or above
Microsoft Windows XP SP2, Microsoft Windows Vista, Macintosh OS X v10.4 or above, or Linux
256 megabytes (MB) of RAM - 512 MB recommended
JavaScript and Cookies must also be enabled.
Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution
16-bit sound card
Speakers/headphones

Does my browser require any plug-ins?

Always use the latest version of Adobe Flash. Check your version of Adobe Flash (and upgrade if necessary) at the following link: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

We recommend upgrading to the latest version of Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Can I watch this event on my tablet or phone?

For the best user experience we recommend you view the conference on your desktop or tablet device. 

Smartphone Browser Compatibility: Browser-based smart phones that can play HTML 5 video files will be able to play all videos and take advantage of the functionality of the platform. These include iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Android phones, and Windows-based phones.

I was able to log in, but what do I do if I need technical help or can’t see the video?

If you have issues involving the performance of the platform, first make sure that you’re using a compatible browser (FAQ #2) and that you are logged into the Virtual Conference platform.

If you have an outdated operating system, you might have issues viewing the live stream. Our ESC Region 13 Virtual Conference Help Team is available by e-mail at virtualconferencehelp@esc13.txed.net

What's the best way to make sure I can hear the conference?

If you are watching with a group of people, we recommend you connect a computer to a projector and connect a set of external speakers.  Make sure the speakers will be loud enough to fill your room.

If you are watching the sessions on your own, grab a pair of your favorite headphones.  You might not need headphones if your laptop or desktop has speakers that are loud enough.

Is my Internet Connection Speed fast enough?

For a reliable viewing experience at medium quality we recommend a downstream connection speed of at least 700Kbps.

You can test your connection speed here.  We recommend testing several times as bandwidth can fluctuate.

I am unable to comment on the video or ask questions virtually. What did I do?

You need to make sure that you’re signed into our virtual conference platform, http://conference.esc13.net/index.php/inclusion/ in the same browser and at the same time that you’re watching the Virtual Conference broadcast.

Why do I need a virtual conference platform account?

To view the sessions, post questions, comments, and interact with other participants, you need to sign in with virtual conference platform account.

Can I earn academic credit for attending?

Yes, participants will receive credit hours based on the individual conference, refer to the conference's registration page for CEU credit hours.
